Photography and Videography

Photography and videography are relatively new to me, although I found a passion and somewhat a talent for them.

When I was 14 years old I got my first DSLR camera. A pre-owned easy-to-use camera that I solely used on automatic mode for everything. I suppose it's only easy to use if you know how to use it. Even though my technical skills were underdeveloped at the time, I realized how much fun it was to take pictures. That passion stuck with me.

When I was a teenager I dabbled in the Youtube world with dreams of becoming an influencer. I recorded youtube videos on my phone, edited them on my phone and then eventually on my Macbook using iMovie, and uploaded them to the platform for the world to see. I created vlogs, makeup tutorials, and even music videos. Although after discovering TikTok, my attention switched platforms.

In 2020 I got a Nikon D5600 specifically for the media communications program. In the program I had multiple photography and videography classes that I excelled in. Now I no longer use automatic mode for anything (except focus in some cases) and I use the knowledge that I have to put creative twists on photos and videos that can't be achieved shooting in automatic.

I've created multiple videos and photos for different school projects which allowed my to gain plenty of experience using Adobe applications like Bridge, Photoshop, and PremierPro.
